I am Daisy Bolger.
"I’m inspired by the people that surround me–family, friends, and strangers passing by fuel the stories featured in my work.
Portraits, both stills and short narratives, are where I thrive. I move my frame to fit the subject and let the story come to me.
Studying an individual with unique experiences, intentions, and environments empowers me to become a silent storyteller behind the camera, letting the subject shine."
Daisy is a filmmaker & photographer based in LA with a passion for visual storytelling. A gradate of Ithaca College with a BFA in Film, Photography, & Visual Arts, Daisy developed an interest in photography at a young age, evolving into a focus in cinematography and editing.
Daisy has worked as Director of Photography, Gaffer, Assistant Camera, and Editor on over 40 narrative, commercial, and student productions—she enjoys shooting on 16mm film the most. As a student manager at IC's Park Portable Equipment Center & Support for over 3 years, she has extensive hands-on experience with production gear both on and off set.
Most recently, Daisy interned at AbelCine and Ocean Front Entertainment in Los Angeles, CA. Her thesis film, SWINE, which she shot on 16mm film, is the recipient of the Best of Festival award at the Yale Student Film Festival and Best Indie Short and Jury Award Runner-Up at the Independent Shorts Awards.
Daisy is passionate about contributing to a more equitable and inclusive future for unrepresented filmmakers, and making art that uplifts and sparks change.
